‘Copter Drop’ over BallenIsles 18th Green Pleases Crowds
Golf balls rained down on the 18th green at BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens after a hovering helicopter unleashed them during a fundraising event.
The “Copter Drop” involved dozens of numbered balls, purchased by participants beforehand. The ball ending up closest to the pin won. Proceeds from the exciting event were donated to the Palm Beach State College Foundation.
The “Copter Drop” was the grand finale of the foundation’s Golf Classic on the esteemed East Course of the prized BallenIsles real estate. It finished up with a cocktail reception and awards ceremony at the beautiful clubhouse, where prizes were given out. The event raised more than $105,000.
