Local City Hall Artist Has Appeared at Numerous Festivals
Painter Nancy Tilles, whose home studio is the bucolic River of Grass Artist’s Retreat on a tropical piece of property in Palm Beach Gardens, is the featured exhibitor at Palm Beach Gardens City Hall.
The presentation of oils is titled” Floral & Marine Life,” and it is hanging through Oct. 18 in the lobby of the building.
Tilles has lived in South Florida for 30-plus years and enjoys exhibiting her work at art festivals where she can meet people and exchange ideas. Among the festivals she has appeared at are ArtiGras, held annually near the homes in Abacoa in Jupiter, and at Art Fest by the Sea, another annual street show that takes place amid oceanfront homes in Jupiter.
Next Gen Jewish Palm Beach Plans ‘Brunch on the Beach’ for Sept. 23
Next Gen Jewish Palm Beach, an initiative of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, will celebrate Rosh Hashanah at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23 at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island.
The event, titled “Brunch on the Beach,” will attract dozens of young adults from the community, owners of homes on Singer Island and supporters of the federation to the seaside event. Ocean Reef Park is a wonderful venue and an impressive amenity to those who live in Singer Island condos on the beach.
Cost is $10 per person or $20 per family and includes bagels and spreads.
‘Tip Toe’ over to Frenchman’s Reserve on Sept. 22
Frenchman’s Reserve in Palm Beach Gardens will be the site of a special luncheon Sept. 22 benefiting the Florida Classical Ballet Theatre.
“Tip Toe Through the Lilly-ies” will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the elegant country club and will feature a silent auction, a raffle and a Lilly Pulitzer fashion show. Proceeds will benefit the troupe, which is entering its 12th season.
Those who support the Florida Classical Ballet Theatre, as well as residents who own homes in Frenchman’s Reserve, are invited to attend the luncheon. The event is being billed as a “Ladies & Young Ladies) Luncheon.
