Among the many top rated schools in Florida, Cypress Bay High School is among the highest in the nation. Located in Weston, Florida, Cypress Bay High is ranked among the top 1,500 high schools in the US according to Newsweek, 2009. Because this school has such a good reputation the number of students enrolling grew enormously in 2007-2008. CBHS became the most populated high school in the nation with over 5,000 students.

Due to the high number of kids, the school decided to apply a cap. The cap forced students that were zoned for CBHS to enroll into a neighboring high school called Western High and for some families to move to different Homes in Weston. Good news to the families of Weston, the cap has been removed and the current number of students has gone back down to 3,750. Aside from CBHS’s “A” ranking, they boast a popular principal. Principal Charles Neely is a very important part of the school’s success, and he keeps the kids happy which is no easy feat.
