Florida Landscapes Highlight Tequesta Art Exhibit
Tequesta’s Lighthouse ArtCenter Museum and School of Art has on display Landscapes 2012, an exhibit by more than 75 artists who have captured the essence of natural Florida.
Landscapes 2012 will hang through Jan. 5 at the museum, which is in a shopping center near a neighborhood of Tequesta homes for sale. The paintings in the exhibit are vivid, colorful and revealing, said Katie Deits, executive director of the center.
Ralph Papa, an artist and instructor at the school of art, juried the exhibit and gave awards to the best in each medium.
Landscapes 2012 is one of several exhibits at the museum, which has served as an asset to the community and as a local gallery for residents with homes on the Loxahatchee River.
