Riverfront Property Runs Through Northern Palm Beach County

The Loxahatchee River and its surrounding watershed is a 260-square-mile expanse that runs through two counties and eight municipalities. The counties are Palm Beach and Martin, and the municipalities are Hobe Sound, Tequesta, Jupiter Island, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Jupiter Farms, Jupiter, Juno Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.

The ecologically important and breathtakingly beautiful river was designated in 1985 by the federal government as “wild and scenic” river – one of two in Florida. The cypress-lined narrow part of the river curves about nine miles from Riverbend Park to Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The wider, brackish portion is divided into three forks that are graced with large, stately Loxahatchee River homes for sale.

One of those homes is in the Merritt Way neighborhood – a great piece of Jupiter real estate — and can be seen by clicking here.
