Sounds like paradise! But do people actually live and work in Abacoa or is it purely a vacation destination where one parties and plays golf all day? I’m a bit skeptical about these wonderful golf-oriented residences … just what is there to do if one neither plays golf or is fed up with the game? And if one is a working man … is there the infrastructure, the schools, the train stations and the commerce necessary?

Simon- I agree 100%, and I had the same concerns while reading the post. I got the same impression when I read the words “golf-oriented” as that seems the predominant activity.

This sounds like an amazing place. The style in which the houses are built seems enticing. having school, college, golf club and fitness centers, well I guess one cannot ask for anything more.
